Entry requirements
Higher education
Admission to the program will be available for applicants who have:
- An AQF level 7 Bachelor degree or higher tertiary qualification OR
- An AQF Level 6 Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree in a cognate area (such as geography, environmental science, earth science, civil engineering, surveying, or environmental engineering) plus a minimum of one year relevant experience, OR
- An AQF Level 5 Diploma in a cognate area (such as geography, environmental science, earth science, civil engineering, surveying, or environmental engineering) plus a minimum of two years relevant experience.
English Proficiency Requirements
All Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the University’s English proficiency requirement.
Special requirements
You will undertake simulated consulting projects whereby you will work together or individually to solve problems in the spatial sciences (eg. the causes of a major bushfire). You will be trained in GIS software and analysis methods which are highly sought after by industry, and will write a scientific report that follows consulting standards. You will also be exposed to real world applications of the skills you gain throughout your studies.
